Victorian Hotel Grandeur meets the 21st Century. Built in 1882 at the beginning of the gold rush, Perth’s Royal Hotel owes its grand Victorian architecture and intricate wrought iron detailing to a period of great prosperity in Western Australia. During the multimillion-dollar restoration, we honoured the heritage-listed building’s original features and décor while introducing subtle updates, such as exposed services, brickwork, concrete columns, and discreet partitioning. The rich interior palette perfectly complements the tall windows and polished timber floors of the street-level spaces, adding just the right touch of fin de siècle luxury to the more intimate rooms above.
